[TQ.60727149] Saxon Burial [NR] (Site of) [NAT] (1) Anglo-Saxon inhumation burial with green glass bowl and spearhead found in February 1922, at Joyce Hall, Betsham, about 2 1/2ft. below the surface. Dated by British Museum to `about 600 A.D.' (2)(a) Brief description of finds (3) This burial was found when the lily pond was made in the lawn. Since then the lawn has been undisturbed and consequently no subsequent finds made(b). The items listed are in Maidstone Museum. (4) Additional Bibliography (5)
