A minor medieval-post-medieval settlement/farmstead was located as a roadside settlement. The place-neame is first recorded as Gare in 1226 and later in 1257 as Gore. The layout of the medieval & post-medieval settlement is depicted on the 1841 Tithe Map. The farm buildings are shown on the 1st to 4th ED OS maps. Nolonger in exsistance.(1)
