Summary

The remains of a late Bronze Age/early Iron Age settlement were discovered near Pouces Cottages in Minster during excavations in advance of work to lay a pipeline in 1989. A number of pits and ditches were found, and recovered from the fill of these features was midden material and early Iron Age pottery sherds. The site was recorded in the Isle of Thanet Sites and Monuments Record.

Evidence of a late BA/early IA settlement found during excavations in advance of pipeline in 1989 near Pouces Cottages, Minster. TR 3285 6645. (1) TSMR 0308 makes reference to pits and ditches containing midden material observed in pipieline trench over 100m. EIA pot sherds found. NGR TR 330 664. (2)
