Substantial earthwork ditch running E-W with others running S from it. Land parcels called Leese field known from C13 and these earthworks suggested to be remains of medieval field system. On the N side of ther main E-W field system earthwork is a slightly elevated bank c350m long which is broken in two places. This embankment is associated with the final course of the Limen and was probably constructed as a flood defence in the late Saxon period. Charters confirm the presence of the Limen in the C8th.
