Method of Fix: Aerial Photograph Interpretation Photograph Number: KCC 1985 Line 7: 0131 Method of Fix: Aerial Photograph Interpretation Photograph Number: KCC 1990 Line 6: 0035 Registration No. IPSWICH 29854 On the 1961 and 1967 surveys this area is covered by water. On the 1985 survey the outline of a vessel can be seen apparently bows on to the saltmarsh. The site can just be distinguished on the 1990 photograph. The remains of Champion were reported visible in 1986. She was built at Ipswich in 1861. Site photograph (1).

Her successive owners are noted as Pauls and Goldfinch. She is described as derelict and a hulk. (2) Possible duplicate of TQ 87 SW 32. (3)
