[Name centred TQ 63165029] Roman & British Pottery Roman Coins & c. round A.D. 1898-1908 [T.I.] (1) Pottery and coins were found in Fairfield Farm, 1898-1908 (2) The present location of the finds was not ascertained. They are not in Maidstone Museum. For other Roman finds nearby see TQ 65 SW 9 (3) These items were collected by the late Sir William Geary from a gravel pit (shown on OS 6" 1909) on part of his land on Fair-Field Farm at TQ 63005020 (now filled in and partly built over). On his death in 1946 the collection was dispersed and its present whereabouts is not known. (4)
