An unpolished Neolithic axe of fine workmanship was found c.1930. This axe was found in a small bank on the south side of a trackway. It is now in the Maidstone Museum store.

[TQ 69895316] Unpolished Neolithic axe of fine workmanship found c.1930 by F G Latter, 1 Leigh Terrace, Teston. In his possession June 1953. [A later note signed by L R A Grove says it is now in Maidstone Mus.] (1)

This axe was found in a small bank on the S. side of a trackway at approximately TQ 6989 5314. In Maidstone Museum store. (2)
