Summary

Two inhumation burials, were found when the foundations for nos. 14 and 16 Helvellyn Avenue were dug. Thes contained grave goods, an iron spear head, sword (seax) and knife. Neolithic and Bronze age burials were also present at the site.

The site is on the brow of a gentle west facing slope. OD 35-40m. Chalk bedrock.
