Seal, field to the east of Lower Bitchet [west of Stone Street]: surface finds of Palaeolithic handaxes reported in late 19th century from c. 530flint OD; varied forms, often white-patinated, and in fresh condition (1, 2, 3). Finds from unlocated site of "East Bitchet" may come from this locality - see new KHCP3_M_99.
