Culverden Brewery on St Johns Road. Unidentifiable buildings visible on Historic Tithe Maps. The brewery appears on Kent Sheet OS Maps (Surveyed 1868-69, Published 1872). The building was demolished in 1967. (1)

The site was founded in c.1738 as Thomas Jarret's brewhouse. It was acquired by the Kelsey family in 1861, operating under the name E. & H. Kelsey. In July 1920 it was registered to amalgamate with Thomas Phillips & Co. Ltd. Of West Malling. In 1948 it was acquired by J W Green Ltd. Of Luton, and listed as having 84 tied houses. Brewing ceased in June 1955, and the building was demolished in 1967. (2)
