A concentration of waterlogged wood was revealed which comprised a clear linear deposit of weathered logs and poles. It became clear that this once formed part of a simple trackway which has been radio carbon dated to the late neolithic. It remains were 1.1-1.2m wide and orientated roughtly North-west to south-east with clearly defined edges. The material used was quite varied including cleft and charred log sections.
