The partial remains of several substantial flint floors were discovered during excavations undertaken at Springhead. They are located immediately to the south of Roman Watling street and may relate to the former site of Roman buildings in this area, possibly constructed using timber. The floors are visible as extensive cropmarks and still await full investigation. No further information about their function is available. (1)
