During excavations carried out by the Museum of London Archaeology ahead of development at Swanscombe Community School, a series of small pits and post holes were uncovered within the walls of a Roman enclosure. They were mainly concentrated in the south western portion of the enclosure. Some of the post holes were stone packed and there was a possible beam slot. Some of the post holes form possible alignments but due to the amount of truncation the only conclusions that can be drawn is that there was one or more timber buildings located here, which was possibly re built on a number of occasions.
