Excavation in 2000-2002 revealed a group of features that probably belonged to the same complex which is likely to have originated in the 1st century and continued in use into the mid-Roman period. Excavation in 2000-2002 revealed a group of features that probably belonged to the same complex which is likely to have originated in the 1st century and continued in use into the mid-Roman period. One of these features included a possible unmetalled path or trackway. This was represented by a shallow, wide, irregular gully which appeared to respect the locattion of structure a timber structure with which it is likely associated. It possibly provided access to the corn dryer from the timber building. (1)
