The original Petley Almshouses were built in 1707 on the High Street, Tonbridge but the were demolished in 1875 and the Congregational Church built on the site. The replacement Almshouses (Petley Court) were built in 1874. They are shown on the 1897-1900, 1907-23, 1929-52 and current O/S maps and are still in use.
