The present Almshouses on Old Road West, Gravesend were built in 1897/8 to replace the original Almshouses built in 1624 at the corner of King Street and Windmill Street. The Almshouses were funded by monies left in the Will of Henry Pinnock. The 'new' Almshouses are shown on the 1907-23, 1929-52 and current O/S maps.
