The former British School, opened by the British & Foreign Schools Society, for boys and girls in Rochester is shown on the 1862-75 map. The building continued to be used as a school, as shown on the 1897-1900, 1907-23 and 1929-52 maps. It was the demolished and the playground for St Margaret's C of E Voluntary Controlled Primary School built on the site, as shown on the current O/S map.
