The former British School for boys and girls in Sutton Valence was opened in 1853 by the British & Foreign School Society and is shown on the 1862-75 map. The building continued to be used as a school, as shown on the 1897-1900, 1907-23 and 1929-52 maps. It then became the Village Hall, as shown on the current O/S map.
