Summary

Gullies and ditches were uncovered immediately north of the bath-house were identified during excavations in advance of the CTRL HS1. Two north-south gullies were truncated at the north end by a later ditch. North Kent/ South Essex shelly ware was recovered from one of the gully fills and suggests the gullies pre-dated the bath-house, filled by c AD 150/60. (1)
