The former National School for Boys was opened on Hosey Common Road in 1827 and is shown on the 1862-75 map. The building continued to be used as a school, as shown on the 1897-1900, 1907-23 and 1929-52 maps. It has now been converted into private residences, as shown on the current O/S map.
