The National School in Aylesford was opened before 1835 by the National Society for Promoting Religious Education. It was attended by 60 boys and 60 girls with 30 more on a Sunday. It is shown on the 1862-75, 1897-1900, 1907-23 and 1929-52 maps. On the current O/S map it is shown as St Peter's C of E Primary School and is still in use.
