The site of 5 cranes (not incluing the surviving example) are labelled on historic OS plans dating to the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries on ground boardering Wellington Dock, Dover. Though it's type is unknown, the surviving contemporary example located on Wellington Dock is a Fairburn Type Crane. By the time the Fourth Edition OS was surveyed, the crane had been removed.
