The site of a crane is labelled on historic OS plans dating to the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries on ground boardering Granville Dock, Dover. Though it's type is unknown, a surviving contemporary example located on Wellington Dock is a Fairburn Type Crane. By the time the Fourth Edition OS was surveyed, the crane had been removed.

The site of a crane is labelled on historic OS plans dating to the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries on ground boardering Granville Dock, Dover. Though it's type is unknown, a surviving contemporary example located on Wellington Dock is a Fairburn Type Crane. By the time the Fourth Edition OS was surveyed, the crane had been removed. (1-3)
