A Roman Vase with two handles was dredged from the Medway between East Wickham (E Peckham?) and Golden Green. (TQ 6348)Reported August 1896, by F W E Shrivell of Thompson's, Golden Green. (1) Mr. F. Shrivell's family have left the district many years and no further information was obtained. (2) Hadlow - In 1896, a two handled Roman urn was dredeged, it is said, from the Medway between Hadlow and East Wickham, probably a mistake for East Peckham. (3)
