Brent mill was a smock mill constructed at some point prior to 1843. It was partially demolished in 1901, with the ground floor roofed over and remaining in use until its demolition in 1930 (1). It can be seen on the first edition OS Map (1862-1875) and is listed as 'disused' on the second edition OS Map (1897-1900). The building is shown, unlabelled, on the third edition OS Map (2).
