Summary

In Aylesford Quarry there is a group of 3 buildings , probably of 19th century construction. A single storey 8 bay building in yellow stock brick has a steep, slated pitched roof, coming low on long sides.Attic space is accessed by a door in the gable end and by an outside wooden staircase.

A second building is of brick with a slate roof, altered at the northern end. The third building is of weatherboard construction on a brick base, with a series of large doors along the eastern side.

Their exact purpose is uncertain but they were probably workshops.

Single storey 8 bay quarry building in yellow stock brick with steep slated pitched roof coming low on long sides. Attic space accessed by door in gable end with woodern stair outside. Small stack to one side of N end.Two double & one stable door on E side. Pair of adjacent buildings: one brick with slate roof(altered at N end), other as weatherboarded on brick base with series of large doors along E. side. Judging by brickwork the group may be of C19 date. Exact purpose uncertain, general workshops.(1)
