The site of a Second World War light anti aircraft (Diver) battery at Orchard Valley. This was armed with six anti aircraft tanks and twin Oerlikon guns on 28th August 1944. The manning details are unknown. (1)

The light anti aircraft battery referred to above (Source 1) was not visible on historical aerial photographs viewed as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP. No trace was visible on the ground at the location given in Source 1. (2)
