Site of a Second World War light anti aircraft (Diver) battery at Pennypot. This was armed with 40mm guns, and was manned by 454 Battery of 138 Anti Aircraft Regiment when deployed on 17th July 1944. It formed part of the Littlestone Section of 43 Anti Aircraft Brigade Light Anti Aircraft Artillery. The battery was not visible on the available historic aerial photographs.

The site of a Second World War light anti aircraft (Diver) battery at Pennypot. This was armed with 40mm guns, and was manned by 454 Battery of 138 Anti Aircraft Regiment when deployed on 17th July 1944. It was remanned by 305 Battery of 98 Anti Aircraft Regiment on 23rd August 1944. It formed part of the Littlestone Section of 43 Anti Aircraft Brigade Light Anti Aircraft Artillery. (1)

The Second World War light anti aircraft (Diver) battery referred to above (1) was not visible on the available historic aerial photographs taken in 1946 viewed as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment NMP. (2)
