Sections of Second World War barbed wire obstructions are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1945 and has been mapped as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP. The barbed wire is located along the beach west of Hythe, within the Hythe Military Ranges (Monument Number 1531850) and extends from TR 1486 3350 to TR 1570 3392. The barbed wire was removed after the war. (1)
