The possible post-medieval ponds are centred at TR 0794 2354, and are visible across an area measuring approximately 80m north to south and 50m east to west. The individual ponds are located and sized as follows: TR 0792 2357, 15m in diameter; TR 0796 2354, 13m in diameter; TR 0795 2353, 13m in diameter; TR 0796 2350, 13m in diameter. Their flat-bottomed appearance makes them unlikely to have been Second World War bomb craters. It is suggested that they may have had an agricultural purpose, hence the suggested interpretation as ponds.

By the time of vertical aerial photographs of 2007, the three southernmost possible ponds have been covered by housing development. The northernmost pond of the group is masked by woodland and scrub (1-2).
