A Second World War probable air raid shelter is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken in 1946, though the site has been levelled on aerial photographs taken in 1966. The site is centred on TR 29845 39635 and comprises a sub rectangular mound with a deep central depression. This site has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2) (1-2).
