Summary

An enclosure formed of banks seen as cropmarks, of unknown date, visible in 1980, located in Hacklinge. These banks were curvilinear and formed a roughly trapezoidal enclosure, orientated NMW-SSE with the E and W sides significantly longer than the N and S. To the W were two banks which formed a C-shaped enclosure with the open end to the E. To the NE were three banks which appeared to be associated, though were of unknown function. The features were not visible in 2003.

An enclosure formed of banks seen as cropmarks, of unknown date, visible on aerial photography taken in 1980 [1], located in Hacklinge. These banks were curvilinear and formed a roughly trapezoidal enclosure, orientated NMW-SSE with the E and W sides significantly longer than the N and S. At maximum dimensions the feature was 86 x 45m. To the W were two banks which formed a C-shaped enclosure with the open end to the E. To the NE were three banks which appeared to be associated, though were of unknown function. The features were not visible on Next Perspectives photography taken in 2003 [2].

To the E was located a field containing a number of cropmark field boundaries (MWX43701) and enclosures (MWX43702).
