Four probable pillboxes dating to WWII visible in 1942, 1943 and 1946, located on the beach at Kingsdown. These features were located within a roughly semi-circular beach obstacle comprised of what is likely to have been piled stones (MWX43642). These structures were not visible in 2003.

Four probable pillboxes dating to WWII visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942, 1943 and 1946 [1, 2 and 3], located on the beach at Kingsdown. These features were located within a roughly semi-circular beach obstacle comprised of what is likely to have been piled stones (MWX43642). These structures lay between 60m and 85m W of the high water mark. They were not visible on Next Perspectives photography taken in 2003 [4].

The structures were located just W of a double line of beach scaffolding (MWX43629).
