WWII type 22 pillbox visible in 1942, 1943 and 1946, located on the beach at Kingsdown. This feature was located within a roughly semi-circular probable beach obstacle comprised of what is likely to have been piled stones (MWX43642). This feature was not visible in 2003.

WWII type 22 pillbox visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942, 1943 and 1946 [1, 2 and 3], located on the beach at Kingsdown. This feature was located within the line of a roughly semi-circular probable beach obstacle comprised of what is likely to have been piled stones (MWX43642). This feature lay 45m W of the high water mark. It was not visible on Next Perspectives photography taken in 2003 [4].

Located 15m to the E was a double line of beach scaffolding (MWX43629).
