WWII pontoon visible on aerial photographs taken in 1940 (1), located in Dover. This formed what was likely a floating dock in Dover Harbour. Six square structures which appear to be platforms, each 4.5m wide were used in two separate lines which jutted out 100m into the sea, perpendicular to the land. The three structures forming each line were linked with an unknown material, perhaps forming a bridge between platforms. The Pontoons were removed shortly after the conclusion of the Second world war. (2)
