Two WWII nissen huts visible on aerial photography taken in 1947 [1], located in Dover. These structures were of unknown, but assumed military function. Each measured 11m x 5.5m and they were orientated NNW-SSE 120m N of the high water mark. These features were not visible on aerial photography taken in 1946 [2]. An emergency water supply (MWX43463) located 34m to the SE was also not visible on 1946 photography, but was visible on aerial photography taken in 1945 [3] and 1947. Therefore it is possible that these features were disguised during WWII. The site was seen to be below a housing estate on Next Perspective photography taken in 2003 [4].

A transcription of the features recorded from aerial photography exists within a GIS layer held by this HER.
