Eight WWII bomb craters visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946 [1] and located in South Foreland. The craters spanned an area inland measuring 300m x 120m. The craters were still visible on aerial photographs taken in 1949 [2], but not on aerial photographs taken in 1976 [3]. None of the craters were visible on Next Perspectives photography taken in 2007 [4].

To the N of the craters lay an area of cropmarks (MWX43572) and a ring ditch (MKE6936 and NMR467766), to the E was South Foreland Battery (Mke41990 and NMR1421774), to the S lay Wanstone Battery (MKe17934 and Mke41971) and Wanstone (Swingate) HAA Battery (MKe17935).
