Twenty WWII bomb craters visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946 [1 and 2], located in South Foreland. The craters spanned an area inland of 500m x 450m. Only two of the craters were still visible on Next Perspectives photography taken in 2007 [3].

To the E of the craters lay South Foreland Battery (Mke41990 and NMR1421774), to the NW was an area of cropmarks (MWX43572) and a ring ditch (MKE6936 and NMR467766) and to the S lay Wanstone Battery (MKe17934 and Mke41971).

A transcription of the features recorded from aerial photographs exists within a GIS layer held by this HER.
