WWII defensive earthwork visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942 and 1946 [1, 2], located in Fan Bay. The banked feature was roughly 6m x 6m and was located 120m NE of Fan Bay Battery (Mke41970). Thus it may have been functionally linked to the battery. It also lay 260m S of Wanstone Battery (MKe17934 and Mke41971). The earthwork was still visible on aerial photography taken in 1949 [3], but was no longer visible on Next Perspectives photography taken in 2007 [4].
