A WWII bomb crater is visible as an earthwork in pasture land on the north-eastern side of Bowling Green Reach on the River Stour on 1940s RAF vertical aerial photographs [1]. The area is now occupied by an industrial estate and no crater is visible on recent aerial photography [2].
