WWII small military complex visible on aerial photography taken in 1941 and 1945 [1, 2] and located in Dover. The site was 50m x 30m and was mapped as one large ditch 26m x 15m, three small square buildings between 3m and 1m wide and one larger circular building of 7m diameter. Two nissen huts of 13m x 5m were present on site, but are visible on OS mapping so have not been mapped by the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey. The site lay SE of Langdon Battery (Mke41979) and was probably associated with the functioning of that facility. Next Perspectives photography taken in 2007 [3] showed the foundations of the two nissen huts, but none of the other features were visible.

This site may also be represented by the HER record MKe17283, but insufficient information exists to make such a determination.

A transcription of the features recorded from aerial photographs exists within a GIS layer held by this HER.

A site visit by a member of the Pillbox Study Group identified two holdfasts possibly for Bofors 40mm which suggests this was an LAA site.(4)
