Small WWII military site visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942 and 1945 [1 and 2] and located in Dover. This site was comprised of two small structures, five c-shaped banked features – three with interior ditching – a single circular ditch, a length of barbed wire and a pathway. The site spanned 160m x 100m. The pathway leads N from this site to a military complex (MWX43542). SW of the site lay two military reservoirs (MKE17287) and to the S Langdon Battery (Mke41979) was situated. Overlaying this site were a series of slit trenches (MWX43579) which covered the surrounding area. The trackway was still visible as a parch mark in an arable field on Next Perspectives photography taken in 2007 [3]. In the same photography, the larger structure cannot be seen, but the ground was obscured by a small group of trees, which may have been protecting the site. All other features were no longer visible on the 2007 photography.

A transcription of the features recorded from aerial photographs exists within a GIS layer held by this HER.
