WWII earthwork of unknown function visible on aerial photography taken in 1946 [1], located in St Margaret’s at Cliffe. This banked enclosure may have formed the foundation of a military structure. The feature was 23m x 15m in total, with banks of 1.5 – 4.5m thick, and lay alongside a length of barbed wire and associated features (MWX43519). The site was no longer visible on aerial photographs taken in 1950 [2] or on Next Perspectives photography taken in 2007 [3].
