A single line of WWII barbed wire alongside a circular ditch and a structure with a single circle of barbed wire. This site was visible in 1946, but not in 1942 and was located in St Margaret’s at Cliffe. The barbed wire was broken by two trackways and a field boundary. The site was not visible in 1950 or 2007.

A single line of WWII barbed wire alongside a circular ditch and a structure with a single circle of barbed wire. Visible on aerial photography taken in 1946 [1], but not observed on aerial photographs taken in 1942 [2], located in St Margaret’s at Cliffe. The wire measured 570m in total and was broken by two trackways and a field boundary. The ditch had a diameter of 10m and the structure was 1m square, with a single width of barbed wire surrounding it at a diameter of 9.5m. The site was not visible on aerial photographs taken in 1950 [3] or Next Perspectives photography taken in 2007 [4].
