Four WWII bomb craters visible in 1942, 1946 and 1950, located in St Margaret’s at Cliffe. The two craters lay either side of a single length of barbed wire. The crater lying furthest to the SE was visible as a cropmark in 2007, the rest were not visible.

Four WWII bomb craters visible on aerial photography taken in 1942, 1946 and 1950 [1, 2, 3], located in St Margaret’s at Cliffe. The craters measured on average 8m in diameter, spanning an area 170m x 70m, with two craters lying either side of a single length of barbed wire (MWX43510). The crater lying furthest to the SE was visible as a cropmark on Next Perspectives photography taken in 2007 [4], the rest were not visible.
