Two WWII military buildings are located to the west of Deal and comprise a possible pillbox and Nissen hut. The pillbox structure is rectangular and measures 4.5m by 4.2m, and the Nissen hut measures 10m by 3.5m. The buildings were mapped from military aerial photography taken in September 1946 [1] and were first visible in February 1946 [2]. The pillbox is no longer apparent by April 1950 [3] and the Nissen hut has been removed by August 2003 [4].
