To the west of the GL Mat of the Great Farthingloe Anti-Aircraft Battery six banked enclosures and two small concrete structures of unknown military function (possibly munition dumps) were mapped from aerial photographs taken in November1946 [1]. The earthworks were not of uniform shape or size and were surrounded by barbed wire and connected to the battery to the east by a narrow trackway. They were first observed in December 1945 [2] and observed in further aerial photography up until April 1950 [2]. By August 1968 they were no longer visible [3].
A transcription of the features recorded from aerial photographs exists within a GIS layer held by this HER.
