WWII coastal defence features located within a larger military complex (MWX43195), Pegwell Bay, and mapped from military aerial photographs.

Defensive features are located within a large military complex visible on military photographs taken in January 1941 [1], April 1944 [2] and January 1946 [3] . These features comprise rectangular and an L-shaped structure, measuring around 10m by 4.5m; circular and square gun pits constructed either of sandbags and mounds of earth, with internal diameters of around 3.5m. In one case a circular gun pit visible in April 1944 [2] is replaced with a structure by January 1946 [3], showing the development of the site.

Most of the features first visible in April 1944 [2] are gone by January 1946, however some features remain apparent after the war and are gone by March 2003 [4].
