Five WWII bomb craters, located on Shell Ness Nature Reserve and visible on military aerial photographs taken in 1944 and 1945 [1, 2].

The diameters of the sub-circular craters measure between 2.9m and 10.2m. They are first visible in April 1944 [1] and have been mapped from photographs taken in January 1945 [2]. They are all still apparent on photographs taken in April 1950 [3]. The four smaller craters are no longer visible by August 2003 [4, 5] whereas the largest crater is not visible by April 2007 [6].
