Cropmarks of interpreted as the remains of two saltmounds of probable medieval date are visible on 1940s RAF vertical aerial photography [1]. The easternmost is the smaller of the two and is curvilinear in plan, measuring 70m (NW-SE) x 18m (NE-SW). The westernmost is ovoid in plan and measures 90m (NNW-SSE) x 47m (ENE-WSW). The features were not visible on the Ordnance Survey 1877 edition [2].
